ZDC invites dance artists/choreographers to submit expressions of interest and ideas for a creative residency at Zagreb Dance Centre. We are interested in proposals which consider new and exciting spatial relations, innovative proposals which excite, deepen the audience understanding of contemporary dance and which prompt dialogue around the art form; in particular we are keen to see the desire to create a new dance vocabulary and syntax and the creation of aunthentic signature of an author be it inspired by use of new media, other art disciplines, interaction with design elemnts or within the actual dance form and through a contemporary idiom. Residencies will be between two and four months. Deadline for applications for 2012 is January 30, 2012. The first residency block starts with March 1, 2012.  |
